Yet Another Con In March: Vancouver Comicon!

Hey everybody! Remember when I said I was doing two cons this month? Well, here's the second one: I'm returning to Vancouver Comicon! (March 2015 edition, yo!)

It's happening this Sunday, March 22, at the Heritage Hall in Vancouver, British Columbia from 11:00 am 'til 5:00 pm. Admission is $4 per person but you can get in for free if you have a new or gently used grade school appropriate graphic novel to donate towards Vancouver public schools or if you're a kid under the age of 14!

I'll be there with my wares of mini comics (buy all four for $5!), buttons, bookmarks, magnets, notebooks, cosmetic bags, greeting cards and the originals of "Nia Polly Tina" and "Yet Another Teenage With On The Internet" in really gorgeous frames available for purchase. I should also mention that if you spend $5 or more, you get a free button of your choice and, well, it's safe to assume that I've accumulated a ton of button designs over the years so you'll have a pretty massive selection to choose from. ;-)

For more information, you can check out the website here or look at the flyer above.

I always have such a soft spot for these shows and I can't wait to see you guys there! ^_^

Incoming Art Dump! Yet Another Teenage Witch on the Internet and Animu Abomination

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

Anyways, the drawing above you is a self portrait...in the style of all the anime cliches I utterly despise. XD

Torpedo tits? Check. Robot baby face? Check. Cat ears, tail and wings for no real discernible reason? Check. Vacant soulless eyes? Check. Gratuitous panty shot? Check. Impossibly long legs? Check. Body type rarely seen outside of a horny teenage boy's sketch book? Check.

Weep and tremble upon this totally kawaii abomination that crept from the bowels of Weeaboo Hell! :')

With that monstrosity out of the way, here's my take on one of my favourite comics growing up. Anyways, I totally see a modern day Sabrina Spellman being one of those nu-goth types that have a massive following on Tumblr and Instagram. Oh? And that magic floating stuff in the background? Totally #nofilter!

Oh god, was that an unironic use of the hashtag? gasp emoticon

March Convention Madness: J-Fest 2015!

Hey everybody! Some big ol' news coming your way: I'm doing not one but two conventions this month! grin emoticon
The first of which is J-Fest which is happening this Saturday, March 7, at the Nikkei Museum and Cultural Centre in Burnaby, British Columbia from 10:00 am 'til 6:00 pm.
Once again, I'll be sharing a table with the awesomeriffic Camille of Dark Anachronisms Hats & Accessories so be sure to check out her elegant and spookalicious stuff along with my wares of buttons, bookmarks, mini comics, greeting cards, original sketch cards, journals and now cosmetic bags! grin emoticon
I gotta say, out of all the cons I've done, this is one of my favourite ones because not only do you get your vendors, artists, panels and cosplay contests but there's also some Japanese cultural performers throughout the day which gives such a great feel and atmosphere. It's just super cool to watch. It also doesn't hurt that Japadog will be there too.
For more info on the event itself, check the Facebook event page or on Anime Evolution's website.
Really looking forward to this show and I hope to see you lovely folks there! kiki emoticon
